There have been two phases to the Pompidou Group
Demand Reduction Staff Training Programme (DRSTP). The first phase,
DRSTP I, provided selected staff in the participating countries
with an intensive experience of living and working in another country.
They learnt about new approaches to drugs work, and on their return
home, were able to share what they had learnt with their colleagues.
In the second phase, DRSTP II, National Project Teams in the 12
participating countries formulated activities leading to the production
of training materials. Each National Project Team was supported
by an international consultant, and offered some financial resources
to enable them to produce the materials.
The DRSTP II held three seminars.
The third seminar, called The Evaluation Seminar, took place in
Strasbourg in February 2002.
